SEC College Football Betting

College football betting doesn’t get any better than on the SEC. The best conference in college football is the SEC and there is really no debate.

The conference is filled with power teams that win national championships and almost every team in the conference gets respect from college football betting online gamblers.

College football betting on the SEC at the online sportsbook is led by the Florida Gators.  Florida is the power team in the SEC that gets the most respect and deservedly so.  Florida has simply been a great football team in recent seasons.  What makes the Gators unique is that they are great both straight up and against the college football betting online pointspread.  The Gators were 13-1 straight up in 2008 and 11-2 against the college football betting pointspread at the online sportsbook.

The SEC has two conferences and right now the East is the better conference but Nick Saban has Alabama on the rise and it might not be long before the West has the edge.  Last season in college football betting the East had five of their six teams finish with winning records straight up but only two of the teams had winning record against the college football betting online number.  Florida and Vanderbilt were the two teams that won against the spread at the sportsbook.  Georgia was 10-3 but they have become a fan favorite and are overvalued a lot of the time versus the college football betting number and they finished 4-7-1 against the college football betting online pointspread.

The West in 2008 was led by Alabama and Mississippi.  Both teams had excellent seasons both straight up and against the college football betting odds.  The rest of the division was pretty much a bust even though LSU finished with a winning record.  The Tigers were a 3-9 disaster against the college football betting pointspread though.  Arkansas and Auburn slipped last season but they both have programs that could rebound quickly and this entire division could turn around in college football betting.

There is no question the SEC gets a lot of respect from the college football betting oddsmakers.  When Florida, Alabama, Georgia or LSU is on the college football betting board you can rest assured they will be laying points.  Even though the conference is overvalued against the college football betting number, gamblers must be careful about going against SEC teams because the conference is loaded with talent.
