Ohio State 2015-16 Preview

With the NCAA Football season just over 90 days away it time to begin previewing the top teams in this 2015-16 season, and in this article we are previewing the Buckeyes of Ohio State whom last season barely made it into the 1st College playoffs for football but played on and won the National Title as the defeated the Crimson Tide of Alabama and the Ducks of Oregon.

In this 2015-16 seasons it appears the odds will be in favor of Ohio State as their team talent seems sufficient to defend their reigning title. Thus, it is our intent to preview their season forthcoming and the worst and best scenarios of their schedule in this overview.

The Buckeyes of Ohio State begin this season as big favorites with odds of +240 to claim again the national title. On both their offensive and defensive rosters they are loaded with talent. On offense they return some 8 offensive starters. They have QB Barrett and 2 talent backups in Miller and Jones, and MVP of the 2014-15 playoffs in E. Elliot and 4 OL starters.

Their defensive roster includes Player of the Year for Big 10 Defensive Ends J. Bosa and also 8 starters that return this season. That defense is the same that shut down the Ducks of Oregon and their offense said to be super explosive in the title game of the playoffs.

Then let us not forget about their coach, a 3 time winner of the NCAA FB National Title in U. Meyer, and with him they have all the talent required to become a college football team that will make history.

When we talk about Ohio State we talk about key players and I start with Jr. running back E. Elliot who last season had 8 rushing touchdowns and rushed for a some 220 yards at least in each game they played against Oregon, Alabama and Wisconsin as he led the Buckeyes to the Title. This season Elliott will be a key to their offense and has odds at +600 to win the Heisman this season.

The key game of the season for Ohio State comes on the 21st on Nov. 2015 when they play the Spartans of Michigan State. This annual rivalry game against MSU will be without a doubt the Buckeyes toughest game on their fairly easy schedule for 2015. The advantage is that it’s a home game for Ohio State, while for road games this season, their game with Michigan a week later, and at present nobody realizes just how good the Wolverines will be this 2015 under new coach J. Harbaugh.

The Spartans are a preseason top 10 team, and possibly the only team in the top 25 they will play before the exciting annual Big Ten Championship game. If the Buckeye can win over the pre-season 8th ranked Spartans of MSU, they may very easily go back to the annual playoffs and undefeated.

The best thing that could happen to the Buckeyes, is that their coach Meyer manipulated their QB situation correctly to lead his offensive roster, and with that situation settled, the ever so talented Ohio State move on, undefeated to defend their reigning title of Nation Champions.

On the other hand if you Bet on College football at an online sportsbook, the worst thing that could happen to the Buckeyes is that Coach Meyer fails to settle the three QB situations in the correct manner, and the situation becomes a distraction to the team and instability develops within his existing roster. That could potentially cause them to lose 2 games, and if that happened with their easy schedule, they would not make the national playoffs for this 2015-16 seasons.

The media prediction is that Ohio Stage follows the best scenario and completes their season undefeated, takes the Big Ten Championship and goes to their 2nd straight berth in the College FB Playoffs this season.
