The Hurricanes were a major disappointment this season and it cost head coach Randy Shannon his job. The Hurricanes hired Al Golden from Temple and that looks like a good hire but he is not coaching the bowl game so there doesn’t seem to be much motivation for the Hurricanes. Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland has taken over as interim head coach. Miami might have Jacory Harris back at quarterback but that is still uncertain. If Harris plays then Miami might be competitive in this game. If he is out then Notre Dame is a superb play. Even if Harris plays the Hurricanes are still not a great team. Harris made a ton of mistakes this season and is no bargain to play well off a layoff.
