NCAA Online Betting – Penn State Heavily Favored against Unbeaten Temple

Penn State is ranked in the Top 25, why we don’t know, and they are getting a ton of respect in the NCAA online betting line this week as they host unbeaten Temple.

Yes, Temple hasn’t played anyone and shouldn’t be able to beat Penn State but the Nittany Lions haven’t beaten anyone of note and they were blown out in college football betting in their only marquee game. The Big Ten Network will be showing this game on Saturday and it might be close than the odds would indicate.  Penn State is a 16.5 point favorite at Sbg global.

Temple Can Win – This is not a season where Temple goes into Penn State and gets blown out.  This is a Temple team with a great running back, a star defensive lineman and a returning quarterback.  They face a Penn State team with a young quarterback and a coach who belongs in the old folk’s home. Temple has not won at Penn State in something like 60 years but this is not an impossible task.  And if you are betting the game you are getting more than two touchdowns.

Penn State’s Questionable Offense – The Penn State offense really is not very good. They have a true freshman in Robert Bolden and he is going through his growing pains.  Running back Evan Royster has looked like he wants to play in the CFL instead of the NFL and there are no real talented receivers.  Penn State might end up giving the ball to backup Stephfon Green if Royster continues to look disinterested.

Temple Has the Trends – The trends are on Temple’s side in addition to everything else. The Owls are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games.
The Owls are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in September. The Owls are 5-1 against the NCAA online betting number in their last 6 road games.  The only bad number is that Temple is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. the MAC. The Nittany Lions are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games. The Nittany Lions are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games in September.  The one positive number for Penn State is that they are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
