NCAA Online Betting – Notre Dame a Home Dog vs. Stanford

Notre Dame is a home underdog in NCAA online betting this week against 16th ranked Stanford. Notre Dame has been fun to watch so far this season but they haven’t been profitable going 1-2 against the college football betting line.  This game against Stanford on Saturday will be televised on NBC and the Irish could be in trouble again.

Stanford is a 4-point road favorite at Sbg global.com.   It is not surprising that Stanford is favored considering what they did to Wake Forest last week. The Cardinal throttled Wake Forest, winning 68-24. That sounds like a high school score.  Stanford led 41-10 at the half.  They had 535 yards of total offense.  If it sounds like a slaughter, it was. It was their highest point total in 42 years and took Stanford to 3-0 for the first time since 2001.

Stanford’s Luck – The Cardinal have an explosive offense led by quarterback Andrew Luck who threw four touchdowns last week and ran for another.

The Season for Stanford – You can really say that the next three weeks will determine Stanford’s season. They go to Notre Dame, to 5th ranked Oregon and then host #20 USC.

Irish Eyes Not Smiling – Notre Dame beat Purdue in their season opener but then lost to Michigan by four and Michigan State in overtime. Notre Dame can score, they just can’t stop anyone. If the Irish had a little bit of luck they could be 3-0. Instead they are 1-2 and in serious danger of starting 1-3.

Saturday’s game – Stanford has not won at Notre Dame since 1992 but they really look to be the better team this week. The Irish can’t stop the run but then again they can’t stop the pass either. How does Stanford do after scoring more than 40 points the previous week?  They are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring more than 40 points. The Cardinal is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September. The Cardinal is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games against Independents. The Fighting Irish are 17-35 ATS in their last 52 home games. Then Fighting Irish are 4-10 against the NCAA online betting odds in their last 14 games overall. The Fighting Irish are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in September.
