The Irish are coming off of a rout at home of Miami-Florida, 41-3. They held the Hurricanes to a single field goal, shutting them out in the final three quarters of the game. Notre Dame held edges in first downs at 34-13, total yards at 587-28, and rushing yards at 376-84. They also held onto the ball for nearly 20 more minutes than Miami. The Irish have not run for 300 or more yards since 2003, when they did it against Stanford.
