NCAA Football – Oklahoma vs TCU

Now that we are moving into Week 12 of the 2015 NCAA Regular Season we have a great game coming up on Saturday the 21st of November 2015 with Big 12 Rivals in Week 11 with No. 13 Horned Frogs of TCU (Big 12 at 9-1) playing at the Week 11 No. 12 Sooners of Oklahoma (Big 12 at 9-1) with the game being played at the Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma with kick-off scheduled for 3:35 PM ET.

This is a very important game for both of these teams in the Big 12 as both trail the Cowboys of Oklahoma State who is undefeated and at 10-0! Meanwhile the Horned Frogs stayed alive in their title hunt with a close win over Kansas this past Saturday, and now in this Wk 12 we have the Big 12 clash!

If you Bet on College at SBG sportsbook and are fans of the 9-1 Horned Frogs of TCU, then you know your team, reigning Big 12 Champs, continued their victory trend as the beat the Jayhawks of Kansas 23-28, after an embarrassing defeat the Big 12 undefeated Oklahoma State 42-29 the previous weekend. With that win they are now 9-1 and still with playoff possibilities.

The win over the Jayhawks turned out to be an expensive win, as they lost their star QB T. Boykin to an injury to the ankle, and for him a sour ending as the was leading the school as well as the nation with 24 consecutive games with at least 1 TD. TCU lately has not been lucky when it comes to avoid team injuries as the previous week in the loss to Ok State their star WR J. Doctson had a arm and wrist injury, then he had difficulties last week as he had a career low game with 1 reception for a mere 12 yards.

If TCU is to defeat the red hot Sooners they will have to have their defensive unit step up and improve their play for another game, like they held the Jayhawks to total yards of 320, and their pass rush was very effective. As of the late they had 1 sack in their last 27 consecutive games, and against Kansas had 3 sacks. Thus, they need the defense to also step up in this game as the Sooners have average some 546 yards in total offense to date. TCU in their games on the road this season total 5 and they have been 4 and 1 straight up.

For the fans of the 9-1 Sooners of Oklahoma and tied for second in the Big 12 with TCU, your Sooner travel to Norman in this big game with the Horned Frogs of TCU and traveling with momentum in their pocket as they come off a win over the previously unbeaten Bears of Baylor this past Saturday 44-34. It turned out to be a very big win for the Sooners who ceased the Baylor winning streak of 20 games, and also increased their chances for the playoffs.

The key to date for their success has been the rebirth of their offense that has averaged some 55.4 points in their recent 5 game win streak. That’s thanks to their QB B. Mayfield as he led his team in the win over Baylor completing 24 of his 34 pass attempts for 272 yards and 3 TD’s and that’s without an interception in that game. Then to add insult to injury for the Bears, QB Mayfield also ran for a TD in that game last Saturday.

The favorite target for Mayfield in that win over Baylor was WR S. Shepard who managed 17 receptions for 178 yards and 2 TD’s in that game and it was another game where he had double digit receptions, and the 2nd time this season. Thus Oklahoma has had a brutal passing offense as they have 30 TD’s via the air routes this season.

Also, the Sooners defense was present and accounted for in the game with Baylor as they halted one of NCAA’s best offenses and forced the Bears into making 3 turnovers that turned out to be costly errors. The held the Baylor offense to just 160 yards rushing, and they were averaging some 309 yards per game prior to this loss.

Oklahoma will need for the defensive front to step up again in this upcoming game if they want to move ahead of TCU in the Big 12 standings. The defense will have to stop the TCU RB A. Green who will be the teams point seeker with the injuries to Boykin and Doctson. He fared well last week as the back-up, as the redshirt senior accumulated 178 yards rushing on 30 carries against Kansas. Oklahoma in their ultimate 4 games with TCU is 3 and 1 straight up.

The prediction for the Big 12 blowout is that the Sooners of Oklahoma manage their momentum and beat the Horned Frogs of TCU 45-27.
