NCAA Football – Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State

As we move on to the 2015 NCAA Football Week 13 most fans are watching the Big 12 as the season nears its end. The 2 Big 12 teams whom are eyeing a playoff spot come together on Saturday the 28th of November with two (2) Oklahoma teams vying for the Big 12 Title as well as the No. 7 Sooners of Oklahoma 10-1play at the No.4 Cowboys of Oklahoma State 10-1with the game being played at the Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma with kick-off scheduled for 8:05 PM ET and can be seen on ABC TV.

For those the Bet on College football at SBG sportsbook and happen to be fans of the Big 12 No. 7 Sooners of Oklahoma (10-1 and 7-1 Big 12) we presume you and many other fans thought your team had an easy victory against TCU. Well you were in for a surprise as the Horned Frogs of TCU staged a late and wild rally in the 4th period, but your team survived a loss by blocking a winning 2 point conversion attempt by TCU with no more than a minute left in the game.

Now your Sooners travel to Stillwater to take on their state and Big 12 rival the Cowboys of Oklahoma State as the Cowboys are coming into this game after their 1st loss of the season to the Baylor Bears. However the Sooners may play this game without their starting QB B. Mayfield as he had a head injury in the TCU game and is still questionable for this match-up.

Thus, if Mayfield can start, then their backup T. Knight will be the starter, and in his replacement pay in that last game he only completed 5 of his 16 pass attempts for a mere 75 yards. In the 6 games this season QB Knight as a redshirt junior he managed passing for a total of 307 yards and 2 TD’s while completing 55 % of his pass attempts.

Truly the success of the Sooners this season is attributed to their offensive running game that has averaged some 226 yards each game, and that ranks 4th in the conference. The key player in the running game has been RB S. Perine who leads the team in rushing while averaging 6 yards on each carry, accumulating 1,162 total yards and 13 TD’s for this 2015 season. In their ultimate 5 games on the road t he Sooners has 4 wins and 1 loss straight up.

If you’re a fan of the No.4 Cowboys of Oklahoma State (10-1 and 7-1 Big 12) you know your teams dream of a perfect season ended as the Bears of Baylor beat them this past weekend 45-35, as the Bears star was receiver K. Cannon who had 5 receptions for 211 yards and 2 TD’s.

On their home field this season the Cowboys are at 5 and 1 and may well be out of the race for a spot in the College Football Playoffs, but still can make a run for the Big 12 Title. But the Cowboys to do so need to win this final season game over the Sooners this Saturday and hope the Bears of Baylor lose to Texas or TCU.

The Cowboys will have their work cut out for them since the Sooners host the Big 12’s best defense, and as of late are only allowing opponents to score 21 points a game in 2015, and that’s the least in the Big 12. Having said that, then the Cowboys must step up their offense performance if their seeking a victory. They need their QB M. Rudolph to continue the same type of performance that he had in his last game has he passed for 3 TD’s for 430 yards. He has star targets in J. Washington and D. Glidden in their passing game that is 3rd in the Big 12 with 361 yards passing in each game to date. Their leading receiver is Washington with 9 TD’s to date and 909 reception yards, while Glidden is behind with 3 TD’s and 785 reception yards. In the ultimate 5 games with the Sooners, the Cowboys have won 2 and lost 3 straight up.

The prediction for this game is that even as the Cowboys of Oklahoma State struggle on Offense they still with the help of their defense overcome and beat the Sooners in this game.
