NCAA Football Betting – Unbeatens Battle as Missouri hosts Oklahoma

The best game in NCAA football betting on Saturday could be the one in Columbia as the 18th ranked Missouri Tigers host third-ranked Oklahoma. The Sooners are actually ranked #1 in the BCS Standings but they trail Oregon and Boise State in the AP poll. That could change if they get a big win on Saturday against the unbeaten Tigers.  The Sooners are likely to get much of the action in this one from gamblers making a college football bet.

Oklahoma -3 at Sbg global
The Sooners are a three-point road favorite in this game that will be televised on ABC.  Both teams come into the game unbeaten but Missouri is still not getting much respect. The Sooners impressed the country last week as they routed Iowa State 52-0.

Missouri is not getting much respect in the human polls but the computer polls like them a lot.  Missouri is actually 6th in the computer rankings and that has brought them up to #11 in the BCS poll.  Their defense is second in the nation in fewest points allowed but they have not been tested like they will be on Saturday.

Can Missouri Beat Oklahoma? The Tigers have not proven they can beat Oklahoma. They have lost the last seven and 19 of the last 20 in this series.   Oklahoma has simply had Missouri’s number.  The Tigers know that nothing they have done means anything if they lose again to the Sooners.  Missouri has not started a season at 7-0 since they went unbeaten in 1960.

Quarterback Battle – The Sooners have Landry Jones while the Tigers have Blaine Gabbert.  Both are excellent quarterbacks.  Last week, Gabbert threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns.  Jones was 30 of 34 for 334 yards and three touchdowns against Iowa State last week.  The one difference in this game is that Oklahoma has Ryan Broyles who is one of the best receivers in the country.  Not to be left out is running back DeMarco Murray who gives Oklahoma a rushing threat, something Missouri does not have.

NCAA Football Betting Trends – The Sooners are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games. The Sooners are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a road favorite. The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Tigers are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in this series.
