NCAA Bowl Game San Diego State vs. Buffalo

The 2nd NCAA FB Bowl game for this amazing Bowl Season bring us the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday, December 21st at 5:30 pm ET (on ESPN)  with the Buffalo BULLS (8-4, 6-2 MAC) playing San Diego State AZTECS  (7-5, 6-2 Mountain West) with the game being played at the Bronco Stadium (seats 36,387) in Boise, Idaho.

If you Bet on College football it will not surprise you that the two teams invited to this Bowl game are particularly grateful of being invited, first as Buffalo will have the chance to win its first ever NCAA Bowl and the Aztecs were uncertain if they would even get an invitation to a Bowl.  Since both team share that gratitude it should make for a grade game for the viewing public.  In these Bowl games the team records for the season seem to be meaningless.

At the Offshore Betting and Sportsbook sites the Buffalo Bulls are favored on the opening lines at -3 ½ and with this bowl game being only the second time they have appeared in a post season game in the school history as in 2008 they lost to UConn in the International Bowl.  If they win this bowl game, a 9th win for the season would be a record in school history.  The standout players for the Bulls are RB Oliver who this season amassed 1,421 rushing yards while scoring 15 TD’s and WR Neut who made 11 TD’s on 58 receptions.  Their top star is defensive LB Mack who has 10.5 sacks and 94 tackles this season, finished second in Butkus Award voting, and more than likely be a top NFL Draft Pick.

The San Diego State Aztecs on the other hand are making their fourth straight bowl appearance and hoping to win their 1st bowl game under Coach Long. In the last two Bowl Season the Aztecs lost in the Poinsettia Bowl to BYU and at the New Orleans Bowl to Louisiana-Lafayette, while their last bowl victory came in 2010 in the Poinsettia Bowl as they beat Navy.  The Aztecs lead player is their QB Kaehler whom this season has thrown for 2,796 yards and 17 touchdowns and throws primarily to WR Ruffin who has scored 3 TD’s this season with 63 receptions. Their defensive star is SS Berhe with 94 tackles.

This should be a great game if the weather does not interfere and it appears that the Bulls may be a bit stronger than the Aztec, but best of luck for both and may the weather cooperate!
