NCAA Betting – Texas A&M at Texas on Thanksgiving Night

We get some nighttime college football action on ESPN on Thanksgiving with the Aggies and Longhorns battling in NCAA betting. This has been an awful year for Texas and not many gamblers want to take them in college football betting.  On the other side, A&M is having a very good season and they are actually in the running for the Big South title.

Aggies Rolling
This is not the same Texas A&M team of past seasons. They have wins this year over Oklahoma and Nebraska and they can make it a trifecta over the three Big 12 powers if they win at Texas on Thanksgiving.   Last week in the win over Nebraska it was running back Cyrus Gray accounting for 202 yards of offense while kicker Randy Bullock hit three field goals. Texas A&M is 32nd in the nation on offense and they are also 32nd in the country on defense so it is not an accident that the Aggies are winning games.

Longhorns a Mess
The Longhorns got a win last week against Florida Atlantic but so what. Texas has to win this game on Thursday or they will finish with a losing record.  If Texas does get a win they would finish at 6-6 and become bowl eligible.  The Longhorns have a lot of fans and even in a rotten season, Texas would be an attractive team for a lower end bowl. Texas is 85th in the country in points per game so they are likely to struggle in this game against the Aggies.  Even the Texas defense hasn’t been very good as they are 49th in the country in points allowed.

NCAA Betting Stats

The Longhorns are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games.  Texas is having a rotten season but they are 6-1 ATS in the last seven home games vs. the Aggies.
