On the whole, Michigan has made vast improvement as a program under head coach Jim Harbaugh. In four seasons at the helm, Harbaugh has had the Maize and Blue in the college football betting playoff conversation. Additionally, Michigan no longer loses to inferior teams, like it did before his arrival. Matchups against Ohio State and top ten teams remain the hurdle that hasn’t been cleared. From this point, there is a feeling of “if not now, when?” That is because Urban Meyer has retired as OSU head coach. It follows that many see Michigan as the team to beat in the Big Ten East.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders vs. Michigan Wolverines Overview
Last season Middle Tennessee posted a college football betting record of 8-6 straight up and against the spread. MTSU was 7-7 over and under. Overall the Blue Raiders ranked 77th for scoring offense and 62nd for points against. Michigan finished 10-3 straight up but 6-7 vs. the line and 8-5 over the total. On the whole, the Wolverines ranked 21st for scoring offense and 16th for points against. Both Middle Tennessee and Michigan went to bowl games in 2018. Above all Michigan limped home with four straight losses against the spread. Their 62-39 loss at Ohio State was utterly humiliating.
Harbaugh Spreads it Out
A clear difference is expected at Michigan for the 2019 season. Harbaugh has hired Josh Gattis to completely run the offense. Of great concern is that Gattis has never been a coordinator. It follows that he will be tweaking the Wolverines attack with a run-pass option. Michigan’s plodding offense was exposed as an online wagering weakness against top tier teams. The question remains whether Harbaugh is really going to not step in during a crisis situation. Namely quarterback Shea Patterson (2600 YDS, 22 TD, 7 INT, 149.8 RTG) is expected to thrive under Gattis.

The Wolverines are:

Middle Tennessee vs. Michigan College Football Betting Picks
To begin with, Middle Tennessee is breaking in a new quarterback after a 2018 bowl season. Michigan’s defense is expected to remain a college football betting asset. A new quarterback debut against Don Brown’s defense in the Big House is a daunting task. In view of the offensive changes at Michigan and Meyer’s retirement optimism is high in Ann Arbor. For all that Harbaugh wants to launch the 2019 season in strong fashion.
