2023 Kansas State Wildcats Preview
Kansas State is coming off the program’s best season under coach Chris Klieman. Yet another run at the conference title isn’t out of the question with quarterback Will Howard leading the way in 2023. The Wildcats must replace standout running back Deuce Vaughn. And KSU must reload a secondary that the Big 12’s high-powered offenses will test.
As for the Kansas State offshore bookmaker schedule, not playing Oklahoma last year would’ve been negative for Kansas State. But for 2023, the Sooners should be a whole lot stronger. Although Vaughn’s big-play ability won’t be easy to replicate, Florida State transfer Treshaun Ward and DJ Giddens should be an effective one-two punch on the ground.
Head coach Chris Klieman’s defense held opponents to 21.9 points per game last fall. However, this unit lost its best pass rusher in Felix Anudike-Uzomah. Also, replacing six key defensive backs in the offensive-minded Big 12 is never easy.
In November 1988, the Kansas State Wildcats finished their second consecutive winless season. Sports Illustrated labeled Kansas State as the worst program in college football.
