Last year, But that is a testament to Klieman’s success. He was glad to let QB Will Howard transfer to Ohio State, cause of knowing that Avery Johnson would be even better. Kansas State is a leading NCAAF future odds contender to win the 2025 Big 12 championship. Indeed, Klieman continues to prove that he is the perfect choice to replace the legendary program’s greatest of all time, Bill Snyder.

In sum, Chris Klieman took over in 2019 and has led the team to five sports betting bowl games in six years, including a Big 12 championship. Now, K-State has upgraded at quarterback with rising star Avery Johnson. The Wildcats are poised to take center stage and boast a wealth of skill-position talent. Hence, the Wildcats could be a dangerous team. If the offensive line holds up, they should be able to pair an effective offense with an experienced defense and challenge for a second Big 12 title in four years.
However, the Wildcats are likely to be unhappy with their 2025 2025 college football futures schedule. Cincinnati, Houston, UCF, and West Virginia will improve. However, all four struggled last year, and all four must prove they can get up to speed and be factors. You’d rather play those four among the Big 12 teams than not. Still, missing Arizona State and BYU might make up for it.
Initially, the date in Dublin against Iowa State, and there’s only one true road game in September, and just two until the end of October. Additionally, four of the five road games are against teams that didn’t qualify for the bowl last year, and the fifth team is Baylor. Thanks to that Ireland game, three open dates are well spread out.
However, offsetting that is the fact that those four road games against teams that didn’t qualify for the bowl are all going to be way better. The back-to-back road games against Oklahoma State and Utah will be a struggle. Additionally, that date against Iowa State is hardly a tap-in.
Beating Iowa State to kick things off is a big deal. If it handles North Dakota and Army and gets to 2-0 in the Big 12 with a key win over Arizona, it will stay unbeaten going into the off week. Next, with a win over UCF and a tough victory over Baylor, the ranking keeps on rising as the wins keep on piling up. There’s a loss between Oklahoma State and Utah, but it’s not enough to keep it out of the Big 12 Championship. Kansas State should get back into the Big 12 Championship discussion with a win over Iowa State. Also, they can be pushing for a College Football Playoff spot. Still, it will likely lose two games along the way. But it’ll still find a way to play for the conference title.
