Fresno State at Illinois College Football Betting

College football betting favors Illinois on Saturday as they host Fresno State.

The Illini are favored even though they are 3-8 while Fresno is 7-4. That shows the NCAA football betting disparity between the Big 10 Conference and the Western Athletic Conference.

College football betting has Illinois as a three-point favorite against Fresno State.  It will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.   Illinois is led by quarterback Juice Williams who is only the sixth player in Big Ten history to surpass 10,000 yards of total offense. Williams ranks second on the all-time Big Ten quarterback rushing list with 2,501 career yards. He will not take over first place since Antwaan Randle El has the conference record of 3,895 rushing yards. Last season, Williams led the conference in both passing and total offense but it has not been the same for him or for Illinois this college football betting season. The Illini also have wide receiver Arrelious Benn who is fifth on the all-time Illinois career reception list. He has caught at least one pass in 35 of his 36 games.

The Illini lost to a very good Cincinnati team last week even though they outgained the Bearcats 476-420.  It has been a tough season for Illinois in NCAA football betting. They have played the second most difficult schedule in the Big 10.

Fresno has been a good team on the road in college football betting.
The Bulldogs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
The Bulldogs have struggled in NCAA football betting.
The Bulldogs are 7-15 vs. the college football betting line in their last 22 games overall. The Bulldogs are 2-9 in college football betting vs. a team with a losing record.

Illinois is not a good home favorite in college football betting.
The Illini are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
The Illini are 4-10 in NCAA football betting in their last 14 games as a home favorite. The Illini are 1-6 vs. the college football betting pointspread in their last 7 non-conference games.

The last five Fresno games overall have all gone under the college football betting total.  In non-conference college football betting games, the Bulldogs have gone over in four of their last five. Eight of the last eleven Illinois games when they were favored have gone under in college football betting.
