Florida Atlantic at Florida International College Football Odds

College football odds favor Florida International as they host Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

The Panthers are favored in college football betting lines even though they are 1-6 against Florida Atlantic all-time.  Here is a look at this matchup on Saturday between these two rivals.

College football odds indicate that Florida Atlantic has dominated this series, winning six of seven.  Last year’s game was a great one though as Florida Atlantic won 57-50 in overtime. This year’s Florida Atlantic team is not nearly as good offensively. In fact, this year’s team isn’t that good period. They are 4-7 straight up and 3-8 versus the college football odds this season.  They do have a solid quarterback in Jeff VanCamp.  He has thrown for 1,152 yards and 10 touchdowns with two interceptions this college football betting lines season. Florida Atlantic is averaging 27.4 points per game. The offense isn’t good enough to make up for a horrible defense though. The Owls are giving up 453.9 total yards and 34.9 points per game. They simply haven’t been able to outscore teams very often this season.

Florida International is not any better than Florida Atlantic. The Panthers are 3-8 straight up and 4-7 against the college football odds.  Florida Atlantic is averaging 310.5 total yards per game and 23.1 points per game in college football odds.  The Panthers have struggled against the run this season so that could be a problem in this college football odds matchup against Florida Atlantic.

Neither of these teams has good trends versus the college football odds. The Owls are 1-4 vs. the college football betting lines in their last 5 games as a road underdog. The Panthers are 1-4 vs. the college football odds in their last 5 conference games. The one note with this series is that the favorite is 4-0 versus the college football odds in the last 4 meetings.  Florida International is just a slight favorite so that trend is not as strong as it has been in previous seasons.

The way to bet this game in college football odds may be with the total. Neither team has a defense and the trends point to an over. The last five Florida Atlantic road games have all gone over the college football betting lines. 13 of the last 19 Florida International games overall have gone over the college football odds.
