Cure Bowl Format
At the onset, the Cure Bowl was founded in 2015 and usually features teams from the Sun Belt and American Conference. The game was held at Camping World Stadium in 2020. But it came back to Exploria Stadium in downtown Orlando in 2021.
Specifically, the Cure Bowl emphasizes breast cancer research and awareness. Hence, proceeds from the game go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The title sponsor of the game in 2022 was the Duluth Trading Company. In 2023, it will be Avocados from Mexico. The tie-in includes Group of Five conferences, the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the Army Black Knights.

Liberty made its sports betting bowl debut in 2019, beating Georgia Southern. Thus, they showed they were not a one-year wonder. They upset Coastal Carolina in the 2020 Cure Bowl.
