College Football Odds – #11 Wisconsin at #24 Michigan State

College football odds handicappers will have an exciting Big Ten matchup of 4-0 teams on ABC to evaluate as Michigan State hosts Wisconsin at 3:35 PM Eastern on Saturday. Sbg global opened with Wisconsin as a 2 point road favorite and with an over/under of 53.

Bucking the Badgers
Wisconsin has a perfect 4-0 straight up record but is just 1-3 against the spread as they are plodding by their opponents.  Last week they took a breather from 1-A competition and scored a ridiculous 70-3 blowout over 1-AA Austin Peay that nobody should have had to pay to see.  Previously Wisconsin won but did not cover games at UNLV and then at home versus San Jose State and Arizona State.  Wisconsin needed a late blocked extra point to escape overtime against ASU.  The Badgers are well balanced as they rank 13th for total offense and 16th for total defense.

Power Running
The Badgers continue their tradition of winning with a big beefy offensive line that clears the way for a power running game led by John Clay.  Clay already has 501 yards rushing and 6.5 yards per carry average with 6 touchdowns after running for 1517 yards in 2009.  He is a junior that will likely be coming out for the NFL Draft next spring.  The offense is balanced out by senior quarterback Scott Tolzien, who has a lights out 76% completion rate with an average of 10.1 yards per attempt and a 5/2 touchdown/interception ratio.

Spartan Living
Michigan State has a record of 4-0 straight up and 2-2 with the college football betting odds.  Last week the Spartans beat Northern Colorado 45-7 as 33.5 home chalks as head coach Mark Dantonio was resting at home after suffering a mild heart attack about an hour after calling for the winning fake field goal touchdown that beat Notre Dame.  Dantonio will coach from the press box in this one.

Good Matchup
Michigan State matches up well with Wisconsin as they are 10th in the nation against the run and rank 21st overall for total offense.  Quarterback Kirk Cousins is an improved asset with the college football odds as he has completed 67% of his passes for a 9.5 yards per attempt average and a 6/2 TD/INT ratio.
