College Football Odds – South Carolina Laying Double-Digits at Vanderbilt

South Carolina is laying big points in college football odds on the road at Vanderbilt on Saturday. Winning on the road has not been easy for South Carolina so covering the college football betting odds for the Gamecocks is no guarantee in this game.

No Road Success – The Gamecocks are laying double-digits on the road which really seems weird since South Carolina has lost their last eight SEC road games. It has been more than two years since South Carolina won a conference road game.  If they want to make it to the SEC title game they are going to have to win on the road starting with this game at Vanderbilt.  The Gamecocks are 2-2 in the SEC but in the East that is good enough for first place.

Lattimore Out – The Gamecocks will have to win without leading rusher Marcus Lattimore.  He was hurt in last week’s loss to Kentucky. When Lattimore left last week’s game the Gamecocks were in great shape but they did nothing after he got hurt. In fact, they had just 95 yards the rest of the game.

Vandy 2-1 in Last Three Meetings – The Commodores have actually won two of the last three against South Carolina.  Last year the Gamecocks won but only by four points.

South Carolina -12.5 at SBG – The Gamecocks are laying 12.5 points in this game that can be seen on FSN. The total on the game is 46.5. If you look at the betting stats there are some interesting ones to consider.  The Gamecocks are 9-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Gamecocks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite. The Gamecocks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Gamecocks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings against Vandy. The problem with taking Vandy is that they are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games and they are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games in October.  And even as a home dog they are bad as they are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog.   Looking at the total, the Over is 4-0 in the Gamecocks last 4 games overall. The Over is 9-3-1 in college football odds in the Gamecocks last 13 road games. The Over is 7-3 in the Gamecocks last 10 games as a favorite. The Under is 20-7 in the Commodores last 27 games overall.
