College Football Odds – Explosive Offenses Clash on ESPN 2 on Friday Night

Two teams that have scored a ton of points so far this season meet on Friday in college football odds as Nevada hosts California. This might be the best of the games of those on Thursday and Friday in college football betting lines. It will be shown on ESPN 2 and is a great way to start the football weekend. 208 Points – In the first two games combined, these teams have put up a total of 208 points. Each team is averaging more than 50 points per game.  Yes, we know the level of competition has been weak, but there is no question that Cal and Nevada can score.  They are both in the Top 10 so far this season in points per game.

Nevada ran the ball for 376 yards last week against Colorado State.  They also showed last week they can throw the ball as quarterback Colin Kaepernick was 21-of-29 for 241 yards and two touchdowns.  He also ran the ball for 161 yards and two TDs.

Deceptive California Numbers – There is no question that if you look at Cal’s numbers you are going to be impressed. They have scored more than 50 points in each of the past two weeks but if you look closer, the offense for California did have some concerns last week against Colorado.  The offense started in Colorado territory all the time so it is hard to know just how good they really are. Quarterback Kevin Riley still doesn’t look like a great quarterback.  He has his moments when he does great things and then other times he does something dumb.  California pretty much had the game handed to them by a rotten Colorado team last week. They will get challenged on Friday night by a Nevada team that can score.

Friday night betting stats – The Golden Bears are 6-1 against the college football betting lines in their last 7 games in September. The Golden Bears are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 road games. The Golden Bears are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. the WAC. The Wolf Pack are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Wolf Pack is 26-12 ATS in their last 38 home games. The Wolf Pack is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games.

Over the Total – With these two offenses it would seem like a game to bet over the total at Sbg global.com. The Over is 4-1 in the Golden Bears last 5 games overall and the Over is 12-3-1 in college football odds in the Golden Bears last 16 non-conference games.
