The 22nd-ranked Tigers are heavily favored to roll over Arkansas State as they are laying more than four touchdowns.  Will Auburn cover the college football betting odds? If you like Auburn, then get ready to lay a lot of points.  The Tigers are 31-point favorites on Saturday against Arkansas State. The total at SBG on the game is 58.

Arkansas State was 4-8 last season and they may be even worse this season. They have a new offensive coordinator in Hugh Freeze and he is going with a no-huddle attack. Too bad he has no talent in which to run it with.  Arkansas State’s offense may end up more in a deep freeze this season. Arkansas State does have a very good defensive player in Bryan Hall who was the named the Sun Belt’s preseason Defensive Player of the Year. They also return Demario Davis but that is about it.

Cameron Newton Makes his Debut – Cameron Newton was the backup quarterback to Florida quarterback Tim Tebow before transferring.  He will make his Auburn debut on Saturday. He will have a good receiver to throw to in Darvin Adams who had 60 catches for 997 yards last season.

Auburn’s Defense – Last year this defense was rotten. They were last in the SEC. They return eight starters but will they be any better? We won’t find out on Saturday since Arkansas State has nothing. If you bet Auburn on Saturday you have to hope the defense doesn’t give up a late score or two to ruin your cover.
