A&M racked up 693 yards of offense and 36 first downs. The Dogs made a run in the third and fourth quarters to turn a 31-0 deficit into a 31-13 deficit, but the Aggies scored their last touchdown of the game to push the lead to 38-13. Manziel now has 31 touchdowns on the season.
The Crimson Tide had some difficulty with the No. 5 LSU Tigers, winning on the final drive of the game, 21-17. They were up 14-3 at halftime, but two LSU touchdowns gave them a 17-14 advantage in the fourth quarter. Alabama was 1-of-9 on third down conversions, going three-and-out for most of their drives of the second half. However, QB AJ McCarron finally put it together on the last drive, completing three straight passes before throwing the winning pass of the game to RB TJ Yeldon. Although they got the win, the Tide were outplayed, suffering deficits in first downs at 22-18, total yards at 435-331, and passing yards at 296-165. LSU also held onto the ball for 19 more minutes than Alabama.
