College Football Odds – Utah Favored by a TD at Air Force

Unbeaten Utah is favored in college football odds at Air Force on Saturday. The Utes are trying to stay alive in the race for the BCS title game and the next two weeks will decide their fate. They are at Air Force this week and then host TCU next week.  Utah is a 7-point favorite in college football odds at the Sbg sportsbook.

Close Games
If history is any indication then this game should be close.  Two years ago it was Utah scoring with less than a minute left to win 30-23.  Last year the Utes won 23-16 in overtime.  12 of the last 13 games in the series have been decided by 10 points or less.

Utah’s Offense
The Utes can definitely score points.  They have quarterback Jordan Wynn and running back Eddie Wide.  Wynn threw three TD passes in last week’s win over Colorado State. Last season in the win over Air Force, Wide had 121 yards on 17 carries.  He could have a field day on Saturday against an Air Force defense that is allowing 205.8 rushing yards per game.

Air Force on the Ground
There is not much doubt what Air Force will do. They lead the nation in rushing yards per game at 326.5.  They are going up against a Utah defense that allows 87.4 yards per game to rank sixth nationally.  Air Force did not play well last week as they were routed 38-7 by TCU. They gave up 377 rushing yards in the loss.

The Falcons lead the all-time series 14-12 but they have lost six of the last seven including the last three at home.  Here is a look at more numbers for Saturday.
