College Football Betting Odds – Mississippi at LSU on CBS

Fifth-ranked LSU is heavily favored in college football betting odds on Saturday as they host Mississippi in a game that can be seen on CBS.

LSU is still in the national title picture although they do need some help with four other teams in front of them.  LSU will get a chance to show the nation how good they are and odds makers are already convinced as LSU is a 16-point favorite in college football lines at Sbg global.

LSU is 9-1
The Tigers are 9-1 this season but they will not be playing in the SEC title game.  Auburn has already clinched a spot in that game against South Carolina so LSU has to hope that Auburn loses that game or against Alabama next week.  The Tigers also probably need Oregon or Boise State to lose as well to make the BCS title game. LSU’s only loss this season was 24-17 at Auburn.  The Tigers have impressive wins this season against Alabama, North Carolina, West Virginia and Florida.  LSU will wrap up the regular season at Arkansas next week.

Mississippi is Struggling
The Rebels have fallen on hard times recently.  The last two seasons the Rebels won nine games but this season they are probably not going to make a bowl game.  They have been playing worse as the season goes on.  They were humiliated last week 52-14 at Tennessee.  Maybe Jeremiah Masoli is not as good as everyone thought.  The former Oregon quarterback has done very little with the Rebels while Oregon has been even better without him. Masoli was pulled last week in the fourth quarter. He was horrible as he completed just 7 of 18 passes for 80 yards and he had three interceptions.  He should find it tough against an LSU defense that is sixth in the country in fewest points allowed.

Saturday Trends
The Rebels are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a road underdog. The Rebels are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference games. The Rebels are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Rebels are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 meetings at LSU. On the other side, LSU is 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games as a favorite and they are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games in November.  If you like the total, the Over is 4-0 in the Rebels last 4 games overall but the Under is 12-2 in the Tigers last 14 home games.
