College Football Betting Odds – LSU at Arkansas on CBS

You might look at the college football betting odds and be surprised to see sixth-ranked LSU a 3.5 point underdog at Arkansas. The Tigers are going for their 11th win of the season but because many of their wins have been unimpressive, LSU is not getting much respect in this game in college football lines.  Arkansas is ranked 12th in the country and they have the better quarterback and the better offense.

Exciting Series
If there is one game that you want to watch on Saturday it is this one.  The last five meetings between the two teams have been decided by a total of 13 points and two of the last three have gone into overtime.  LSU seems to play close games every week so that is nothing new to them. Seven of LSU’s games this season have been decided by seven points or less.

LSU 10-1 SU, 5-6 ATS
The Tigers have 10 wins straight up but because they don’t normally blow teams out they have a losing record against the spread.  Last week their offense showed up in a 43-36 win over Mississippi. Jordan Jefferson passed for a career-high 254 yards. Even with that performance, Jefferson has poor numbers on the season.  He has thrown for four TDs against nine interceptions this season. If LSU is to win this game they will likely do so on the ground with Stevan Ridley.  Arkansas is poor against the run as the have given up 162.6 yards per game on the ground.

Arkansas 9-2 SU, 8-3 ATS
The Razorbacks have been very successful both straight up and against the Sbg global point spread. They have a very good offense led by quarterback Ryan Mallett who is eighth in the country with 297.5 yards per game. Last year, Mallett did not play well as he completed 17 of 39 passes for 227 yards and an interception.
