College Football Betting Line – Central Michigan vs. Virginia Tech on ESPN U

Virginia Tech is heavily favored on the college football betting line to rout Central Michigan on Saturday in a game that can be seen on ESPN U. There is really not much to like about Central Michigan so the Hokies are going to get much of the action from gamblers in college football lines. The Hokies are 22 point favorites at Sbg global.com and the total on the game is 53.5.  Central Michigan is coming off a 31-17 loss to Ball State last week at home. They were never really in the game as they were outrushed 306-76. That is bad news for the Chippewas in this game as Virginia Tech can run the ball very well.

Virginia Tech the Play – The Hokies have won three consecutive games after dropping their first two of the season The Chippewas have lost two consecutive games and three of their last four. Central Michigan at least has a few wins against the Big 10 Conference as they are 4-18 against teams from that conference but they are 0-15 against teams from the other five power conferences Virginia Tech has won 13 of its last 15 home games.

This is the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Virginia Tech is 16-2 all-time against teams from the MAC and has won its last nine games against the MAC. Central Michigan is 0-4 all-time against the ACC, including a 31-10 loss to Boston College last season.

Bad Chippewas – There is not much to like about Central Michigan against the college football lines. They have allowed 16 sacks this season so they are going to be in big trouble against the Virginia Tech defense. Perhaps the Chips can play enough defense to not get humiliated.  Ryan Radcliff is a decent quarterback but he doesn’t figure to have much time to throw in this game.

Betting Trends – The Chippewas are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog. The Chippewas are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The Chippewas are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games in October. The Hokies are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite. The Hokies are 2-7 against the college football betting line in their last 9 games in October.
