College Football Bet – Tulsa at Notre Dame on NBC

Notre Dame is favored by more than a touchdown on Saturday as they host Tulsa and the Irish will probably get much of the action from gamblers who bet college football. Gamblers would rather bet on Notre Dame at home in NCAA betting rather than take Tulsa. Is that a good way to go?

Tulsa is 4-3 and they can score
The Golden Hurricane comes into this game at 4-3 and that record is better than Notre Dame’s 4-4 mark.  Tulsa has a good quarterback in G.J. Kinne and an offense that is putting up 38.4 points per game.  Tulsa has a hurry-up offense that is tough to defense and Notre Dame has shown no indications they can stop anyone.

Must-Win for Notre Dame
Head coach Brian Kelly has said that Notre Dame really needs to go to a bowl game this season. That makes this game against Tulsa a must-win. The Irish are 4-4 so they need two more wins to get to six and become bowl eligible. This is one of those games.  The remaining three games are not easy as the Irish face Utah who is in the top 10, Army who can run the ball and USC. Perhaps the Irish could win one of those three. That means they must beat Tulsa to realistically have a chance to go to a bowl game.

Way over the Total
Can the odds makers really make a total high enough in this game?  Is there any way you don’t take this game over as you make a college football bet?  Tulsa is in the top 10 in the country in yards per game.  Notre Dame is not going to stop them from scoring.  Kelly has even said that the Irish will need to score in this game to keep up with Tulsa.  That should tell you just how high scoring this game should be on Saturday.
