College Football Bet – Top 20 Matchup on ABC as Oklahoma hosts Florida State

Gamblers might take a shot with Florida State when making a college football bet this week since the Seminoles are getting more than a touchdown at Oklahoma.

The Seminoles were very impressive last week in their win over Samford while the Sooners struggled against Utah State.  Do those results really mean anything tough in terms of who covers in college football betting this week? at will tell us just how good Florida State is and if Oklahoma is a national title contender.

Both Teams are Ranked – The Seminoles are ranked 17th in the country while Oklahoma is ranked 10th.  Florida State destroyed Samford last week 59-6 but that game is really worthless.  Most decent college football teams would rout Stanford.  Oklahoma just got past Utah State last week but they could have been looking ahead to this game.

Family Affair – You probably know that Bob Stoops is the head coach of Oklahoma but you might not know that Florida State’s defensive coordinator is Mark Stoops, Bob’s brother.  This is the first time the two brothers have ever faced each other.

Oklahoma’s Offense – The Sooners are supposed to be loaded on offense but last week it was only DeMarco Murray and Ryan Broyles who showed up. Murray had a career-best 218 yards and two touchdowns and Broyles had 142 yards receiving with two TDs.  No one else did much of anything and the Sooners did not cover in college football betting. Head coach Bob Stoops wants other players to get involved this week.  Murray had a career-high 35 carries last week.

Do you bet the Over?  Do you look at last week’s results and simply bet this total over?  The Seminoles offense looks very good and Oklahoma’s defense looks to be their weak point.  And we know that the Sooners are going to score.  Maybe just making a college football bet and taking the over is the way to go in this one. It helps that the Over is 5-2 in the Seminoles last 7 road games but a concern is that the Under is 7-3 in the Sooners last 10 home games.
