Kentucky Wildcats vs. Texas A&M Aggies

Cats Betting on College Football Dogs to Nits for Citrus Bowl!

Only twice in their history has Kentucky posted a double-digit win season.  To be exact 1960 and 1977 were their only seasons for such glory.  However, if the Wildcats can spring a Betting on college football upset over Penn State, they can make history. Balanced against that is a Penn State program steeped in tradition.  With a win over Kentucky the Nittany Lions can post their third straight double-digit win season.  Counter to Kentucky the Nits have a lot of offensive firepower.  The question is if Kentucky can generate enough offense to spring the surprise.

Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky has a Betting on college football record 9-3 straight up, 5-7 vs. the odds, and 5-7 under the total.  Following a hot start, the Wildcats did fade on the board with only two payouts in their final seven games.  Three of their last four games went over the total.  Last time out for U of K was a 56-10 cover at Louisville.  The Wildcats finished in second place in the SEC East Division.  Kentucky has national rankings of 100th for total offense but eight for points allowed.  Most of all it was Kentucky’s dream season.

Texas A&M Aggies

Penn State has an Offshore betting mark of 9-3 straight up, 5-7 vs. the line, and 5-7 under the total.  Hence the Nittany Lions finished in third place in the Big Ten East Division.  Last game for the Nits was a 38-3 home payout over Maryland.  PSU ranks 31st in the nation for scoring offense and 20th for points allowed.  Naturally the Penn State offense has a couple of dangerous weapons.  Quarterback Trace McSorley threw for 2285 yards and 15 touchdowns.  And he added 723 rushing yards with 11 TD’s.  Miles Sanders rushed for 1223 yards with 9 scores.

Strong Coaches

It follows that this matchup features two strong program builders as coaches.  Mark Stoops has built Kentucky brick by brick and with methodical precision.  Concurrently James Franklin of Penn State is a recruiting machine.  And the best possible cure for the ills of the PSU program when he arrived.

Team vs. Team

Penn State has been profitable as a road favorite.  For example, the Nittany Lions have covered seven of their last 11 games laying points on the road.  Five of their last six as a road chalk went over the total.  Balanced against that is Kentucky’s good profitability as a road dog.  The Wildcats have paid in eight of their last 11 games in that tole.  Five of their last seven as away pups have gone under the total.

Matchup to Watch

In this situation Penn State has the vastly superior offensive firepower.  As mentioned earlier they also bring solid Betting on college football value.  While Kentucky is respected for their banner campaign this is too much to ask.
