Bet on College Football – Michigan State at Penn State on ESPN 2

Michigan State is likely to get the bulk of the action from gamblers who bet on college football against Penn State. Spartans are 1.5 point favorites in college football betting at SBG in this game that can be seen on ESPN 2. Michigan State could still win the Big 10 title but they do need some help. They are tied at 6-1 along with Ohio State and Wisconsin at the top of the Big 10 standings. The Spartans can share the Big 10 title with a victory but to win it outright they need Ohio State to lose to Michigan and Wisconsin to lose against Northwestern. Neither of those two things is likely to happen.  And Michigan State is no guarantee to beat Penn State.

Michigan State 10-1 SU, 6-5 ATS
The Spartans have been great straight up this season but they are just barely above the break even mark against the spread.  Michigan State seems to make every game close.  That could be the case again on Saturday. The Spartans are led by quarterback Kirk Cousins who had the game winning TD last week against Purdue.  The Spartans have never won 11 games in a season but if they can win at Happy Valley they will get to that mark.

Penn State 7-4 SU, 5-6 ATS
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 41-24 win last week against Indiana as Matt McGloin threw for 315 yards and two touchdowns. Penn State should have some success against a Michigan State defense that is just 47th in the country against the pass.

Game Trends
Penn State has won five of the last six in this series.  As you bet on college football, other trends to keep in mind are that the Spartans are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a road favorite. The Nittany Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games. The Nittany Lions are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a home underdog. And of special note is that the Spartans are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings at Penn State. This could be a high scoring game as the Over is 5-1 in the Spartans last 6 games in November. The Over is 42-18-1 in the Spartans last 61 road games. The Over is 6-0 in the Nittany Lions last 6 games overall. The Over is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings between the two teams at Penn State.
