Army vs. Navy College Football Betting

College football betting has the Army-Navy game being the only game on Saturday as it is televised on CBS. Usually the game is a week earlier in NCAA football betting but it was moved back this year to give the game the entire spotlight. College football betting has Navy favored in this game as the Midshipmen are 8-4 while Army is 5-6.  The extra week off is definitely different but it should help both teams with the extra rest. “Having an extra week is a little strange,” said Army defensive tackle Victor Ugenyi, “It helps us out, it gets a lot of people healthy, hopefully, and it gives us more time to g o over Navy’s plays. … But we’re trying not to get overanxious.”

Navy has done very well in this college football betting series of late, winning the last seven and rarely have the games been close. Navy has won the last seven in NCAA football betting against Army by an average of 29 points per game.  With a win, Navy would win the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy for the seventh straight season.

Saturday’s college football betting game has even more important for Army than normal if that is possible in an Army-Navy game since a win by Army would get them bowl eligible and put them into the EagleBank Bowl. “The fact that there’s so much on the line is gratifying,” said Army head coach Rich Ellerson, “We’ve done just well enough to make it meaningful on a lot of different levels. It’s wholly appropriate that the Army-Navy classic is the venue for this next adventure.”

Army doesn’t have good overall college football betting trends.  The Black Knights are vs. the NCAA football betting line ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Black Knights are in college football betting in their last 7 games in December. The Black Knights are 1-6 vs. the college football betting pointspread in their last 7 meetings against Navy.

Navy has some solid college football betting numbers. The Midshipmen are 8-2 in college football betting in their last 10 games in December. The Midshipmen are 10-4 in college football betting in their last 14 neutral site games.

Seven of the last nine Army games overall have gone under in college football betting.  Four of the last five Navy games have also gone under the NCAA football betting total.
