NCAA basketball line odds had Wright State as one of the major surprises on all of college basketball last season.

The Raiders took home the Horizon League crown and an NCAA Tournament bid.  They were also a factor against basketball lines all season.

NCAA basketball lines experts know that things will not be as good this year for Wright State.  The team loses DaShaun Wood and Drew Burleson, who accounted for 44 percent of last year’s scoring and 34 percent of the rebounding. Last year’s NABC District 10 Coach of the Year Brad Brownell will need a lot of players to step up if Wright State is to challenge for the top of the Horizon League this season according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  Sophomore guards Vaughn Duggins, a preseason second-team selection, and Todd Brown and front court players like seniors Jordan Pleiman and Scottie Wilson will need to play well according to NCAA basketball lines experts. Junior Will Graham comes back after starting 12 games a year according to NCAA basketball lines stats. 

The key will be getting someone to make an impact.  It may be 6-9 center Ronnie Thomas or guard John David Gardner according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  Freshman Troy Tabler may also impact NCAA basketball lines odds. Duggins started 32 games as freshman and has been tabbed one of this season’s top ten players in the Horizon League according to basketball lines experts.  NCAA basketball lines stats show that he was selected to the League’s Newcomer Team a year ago along with fellow freshman Todd Brown. Brown was third on the team in scoring according to basketball lines numbers. Pleiman averaged 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds as a junior according to NCAA basketball lines numbers. Wilson was selected to the Horizon League All Tournament Team last March according to NCAA basketball lines numbers.

Of the newcomers, two have played major college basketball and one played in the junior college ranks according to NCAA basketball lines numbers. Gardner came to Wright after playing a season at UNC Wilmington. Thomas is a transfer from Duquesne according to NCAA basketball line experts. Junior Gavin Horne played two years at Sante Fe Communitiy College in Florida.  Also vying for playing time is freshmen Kyle Pressley, N’Gai Evans, and Cooper Land according to basketball lines experts.
