2007-2008 Toledo Rockets NCAA Basketball Lines

NCAA basketball line stats show that Toledo is coming off a season in which they shared the MAC regular season title. Toledo was not able to win the MAC tournament as basketball lines experts remember but it was still a good year.  This year Toledo may drop a bit as they lose three top scorers from last year.

NCAA basketball lines experts see that Toledo has some real problems in the backcourt.  Jonathan Amos, Tyrone Kent, and Corey Bingham are competing for the positions but none excite NCAA basketball lines gamblers.  basketball lines experts see that coach Stan Joplin runs a four-guard system and that they will miss Kashif Payne. Juniors Jonathan Amos and Tyrone Kent will get their chance this season.  Toledo could have a real problem with turnovers according to NCAA basketball lines experts without a true point guard.  It is also not going to help Toledo that they don’t have solid shooters according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  Amos, Kent, and Johnson can do various things but they are not strong shooters. Freshman Justin Anyijong and Corey Bingham may get some playing time according to NCAA basketball lines experts.

Last year Toledo’s defense caused nearly 20 turnovers a game according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  6-8 Mohammed Lo will try and get playing time along with Anyijong and senior Jerrah Young according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  NCAA basketball lines experts see a tough non-conference schedule which is a good/news bad news scenario.  It is good news according to basketball lines experts because it will toughen the Rockets.  It is bad news for Toledo because they are going to lose most of those games.  Playing Missouri State, Vanderbilt, and Drexel at home will not be easy games according to basketball lines experts.  Road games at Pittsburgh, Old Dominion, UMass, UNC Wilmington, Houston, and Dayton are almost sure losses according to NCAA basketball lines experts.   The Rockets are ranked #2 in the preseason rankings in the MAC West but that is pure fallacy according to NCAA basketball line experts.  The Rockets don’t have nearly enough talent to do what they did a year ago and will struggle to match last year’s record. They could, however, surprise in the MAC Tournament like Miami did last year. NCAA basketball lines experts know anything can happen in a conference tourney and Toledo has the talent to surprise on occasion.
