March Madness betting features Kentucky in the SEC Tournament this week. All 12 SEC teams will be in action in what should be an exciting SEC Tourney with an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line. Some of the SEC teams will get a bid regardless but others will need a good showing in March Madness lines this week.
March Madness betting will have Kentucky as the favorite in the SEC Tournament. The Wildcats are going to get a #1 seed in next week’s NCAA Tournament regardless of what they do this week but beating Kentucky even when they are not motivated is never easy. Vanderbilt is capable of winning this tournament as well and they are also in the NCAA Tournament as is Tennessee. The team that really needs to win at least one game and perhaps two is Florida. Mississippi State may also need a win or two to secure a bid to next week’s big dance.
The first round matches up Alabama against South Carolina in what should be an excellent game in March Madness betting. Alabama has played very well in the SEC Tournament in the past while South Carolina has the SEC’s leading scorer in Devan Downey. Tennessee has to play in the first round as they matchup against LSU in a game they should win. Florida has a must-win first round game against Auburn. The Gators might just miss the NCAA Tournament if they don’t get this win. “It’s a one-game tournament,” Florida head coach Billy Donovan said. “That’s all we need to focus on right now. If you’re fortunate to move on, then you worry about the next game.” The other first round matchup in SEC Tournament March Madness betting has Arkansas against Georgia.
Kentucky will play the winner of the South Carolina-Alabama game in the quarterfinals. Kentucky is going to be favored in March Madness betting but this may not be an easy game. Another quarterfinal game on Friday will have Mississippi facing the winner of LSU vs. Tennessee. The Rebels might just need to win this game to keep their NCAA Tourney hopes alive. Mississippi State will play the winner of the Auburn-Florida game and this might just turn into a bubble bursting game with the winner making the NCAA Tournament and the loser missing out. Vanderbilt will meet either Georgia or Arkansas in the other quarterfinal matchup. The will be favored in March Madness lines to win that game.
