College Basketball Betting: Oklahoma at Kansas

College basketball betting favors Top-ranked Kansas on Monday as they host Oklahoma. The Jayhawks have won 57 consecutive home games, 5 short of the school record. Those that bet on college basketball don’t expect the Jayhawks to be tested in this ESPN matchup by the Sooners.

College basketball betting had Kansas rolling over Colorado on Saturday as freshman Xavier Henry scored 24 points. Kansas is now 26-1 overall and 12-0 in Big 12 play.   Five Kansas players reached double figures in the game as Cole Aldrich and Tyshawn Taylor had 17 each while Sherron Collins had 13 and Markieff Morris had 11.

Oklahoma is coming off a poor performance on Saturday as they were routed by Kansas State 83-68.  The Sooners have collapsed lately, losing their last four games.  They have been without leading scorer Willie Warren who has missed four of the last eight games.

There is simply not a lot to like about Oklahoma as you bet on college basketball. The Sooners are 15-36-3 vs. the college basketball betting odds in their last 54 road games.  The Sooners are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Oklahoma does not have a road victory in the Big 12 this season and it seems unlikely they are going to get one on Monday against the best team in college basketball.

Kansas has some mixed numbers for this college basketball betting matchup. The Jayhawks are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Monday games. The Jayhawks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.  The one positive for Kansas in this series is that the home team 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings. Kansas has become so popular that they are now overvalued.  They continue to win games straight up but the number has gotten so high that they don’t cover very often.  They are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games.

Four of the last five Oklahoma games overall have gone under the college basketball betting total. Six of the last seven Kansas games on Monday have gone under. Seven of their last ten at home overall have gone under. In this series, six of the last eight at Kansas have gone under.

The choice in this game on Monday will be whether to lay the big points with Kansas or take the Sooners and hope they can get the backdoor cover.
