Ohio State at Purdue NCAA Basketball Betting

December 1, 2010 NCAA Basketball

NCAA basketball betting on Tuesday is highlighted by a battle in the Big 10 between Ohio State and Purdue.

This college basketball betting game that has the Boilermakers favored can be seen on ESPN television.

NCAA basketball betting has seen Ohio State on the road a lot early in the conference season and it has not gone well for them.  It is the fourth road NCAA basketball betting contest already in the Big 10 for Ohio State.  The problem for the Buckeyes in NCAA basketball betting is that they have lost the three previous road games.

Purdue leads the overall series with an 81-74 advantage vs. the Buckeyes. The Boilermakers are 53-23 in West Lafayette vs. Ohio State. The teams have played 31 times previously in NCAA basketball betting with Purdue ranked among the Top 25 teams nationally.  College basketball betting stats indicate that Purdue has won the last eight games at home against the Buckeyes. Evan Turner leads Ohio State in scoring in NCAA basketball betting games vs. the Boilermakers at 17 points per game.

Purdue lost their first game of the season this past weekend against Wisconsin and they dropped to #6 in the rankings. They have been ranked for 35-consecutive weeks and that is a new record for the Boilermakers.  Head coach Matt Painter was not too concerned about the rankings. He was more concerned that the team didn’t play well against Wisconsin. "It’s bothersome," Painter said. "We didn’t put ourselves in position to win even though we made it a little bit closer at the end. We simply didn’t make it a basketball game until the very end." E’Twaun Moore had 24 points to lead Purdue.

Ohio State has not been a very good team lately in NCAA basketball betting. The Buckeyes are 1-7 vs. the college basketball betting line in their last 8 games overall. They have really struggled on the road as they are 0-4 against the college basketball betting odds in their last 4 road games. Even though Ohio State is struggling they have held their own versus the NCAA basketball betting number at Purdue. The Buckeyes are 7-2 in NCAA basketball betting in the last 9 meetings at Purdue.

Six of the last seven Ohio State games have gone under in NCAA basketball betting. 12 of their last 17 on the road have stayed under the NCAA basketball betting total.
