No. 21 SMU upset by UConn 81-73

On the Sunday the 1st of March 2015 the NCAA BB schedule brought us an exciting game between the No. 21 SMU Mustangs 23-6 of the AA Conference who was upset by the unranked but renowned UConn Huskies 17-11 also of the AA Conference, with the game played at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut at 2 PM ET and was seen on CBS TV with the Huskies winning 81-73.

The scoring in the game was led both in the 1st and 2nd half by the Huskies of UConn as in the 1st half of the game the Huskies of UConn outscored the Mustangs of SMU 32-26 thus ending the 1st half and the No.21 SMU with a 6 point deficit. In the 2nd half of the game the Huskies again outscore the Mustangs, but only by 2 points 49-47 and UConn thus won the game 81-73.

The Huskies entered into this game as 0-4 losers in their games with the Mustangs of SMU and that dates back to the beginning of the American Athletic Conference, and it all of the 4 games SMU won by at least 9 points.

The loss for the Mustangs of SMU and now heading into the last week of their regular season they are trailing Tulsa by ½ game who beat Memphis this past Saturday in OT. Then for the last regular 2014-15 season game SMU will play Tulsa on the 8th of March 2015.
