The Rams beat St. Bonaventure, Davidson, and VCU for their second Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Tournament title and first since 1999, which was also when URI last appeared in the NCAA tourney. Rhode Island received the No. 11 seed in the Midwest region and will face No. 6 Creighton. The BJs defeated Providence and Xavier but succumbed to top team in the country Villanova in the finals of the Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament. Universitas Creightoniana, however, will return to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in six seasons and 20th overall. URI and Creighton have met once before, a 74-73 win for the latter in the 2008 NIT. The winner of the Creighton vs. Rhode Island game will play the winner of Oregon vs. Iona game.
Wichita State Shockers versus Dayton Flyers March Madness Betting preview

The Shockers defeated Bradley, Missouri State, and Illinois State to win their fourth Missouri Valley Men’s Basketball Tournament title and sixth consecutive appearance at the Big Dance. Wichita State has been to the Final 4 two times. The No. 10 seed in the South Region WSU will tip off against No. 7 seed Dayton. The Flyers lost to Davidson in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Tournament, but UD will return to the NCAA tourney for the fourth year in a row. The Flyers reached the title game in 1967. Dayton earned the No. 7 seed in the South Region. The Flyers are ahead 2-0 in the all time series against the Shockers, but the most recent of those games took place in 1962. The victor of WSU vs. Dayton will take on the winner of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky in Sunday’s Second Round.

The Blue Devils defeated Clemson, Louisville, North Carolina, and Notre Dame to win their first Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament since 2011 and secure a 22nd straight appearance at the Big Dance. Universitas Dukiana received the No. 2 seed in the East Region. The Blue Devils have never faced Troy but are 13-1 against current Sun Belt Conference teams. Duke was last selected to the East Region in 2009, won the 1992 and 2001 national championships out of the East Region, and their first national championship in 1991 as a No. 2 seed.
