NCAA Men’s Basketball Bracketology – March Madness Betting Odds!

The 2026 NCAA men’s basketball tournament, best known as March Madness, features a 68-team single-elimination bracket. This week, conference tournaments are underway, with Selection Sunday on March 15. Specifically, that is when the official field and matchups are revealed on CBS.

In sum, the tournament tips off with the First Four play-in games on March 17 and 18, determining the final four spots in the main 64-team bracket. First- and second-round March Madness betting games are held March 19 through 22 at various regional sites. Following that are the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight contests, March 26-29, leading to the Final Four on April 4. Finally, the national championship game April 6.

Sharps see a consistent No. 1 seed at the top. Namely, Duke is considered the overall number one. Next are Michigan, Arizona, and Florida. Duke leads most futures and resumes with an exceptional record, dominating the ACC despite some injury notes. Michigan stands strong in the Big Ten, Arizona controls the Big 12, and Florida has climbed sharply in the SEC.

2026 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Odds at SBG

Duke has solidified its offshore bookmaker position as the betting favorite to win the national championship. The Blue Devils currently sit at +320. Their rise to the top of the board follows a dominant late-season run and a high-profile neutral-site victory over Michigan in February.

Michigan is a very close second with +340. Despite losing the top spot to Duke recently, the Wolverines remain a statistical powerhouse. And then Arizona is third at +475. The Wildcats have been consistently praised for their resume, which includes fifteen Quad 1 wins.

After closing their regular season with a strong performance against Iowa State, they are viewed as the primary challenger to the two favorites. Finally, the defending national champion Florida Gators are the fourth choice at +700. Their odds have shortened significantly over the last month as they aim to become the first repeat champion in nearly two decades.

Following the Florida Gators, Houston is listed at +1000, and UConn is further back at +1800. While Houston has seen its odds drift slightly after a late February skid, both teams are considered top-tier contenders because of their defensive reputations and recent tournament pedigrees. The conference tournaments are heating up right now.

In the ACC tournament, the Duke Blue Devils enter as the heavy favorite despite missing a couple of starters due to injuries. Still, their depth and regular-season dominance make them tough to beat with potential challengers like Virginia, Miami, and North Carolina in the mix. Keep an eye on Louisville as a sleeper around the sixth seed capable of hot shooting and chaos, plus bubble teams like SMU.

The Big Ten features Michigan as the standout after a near-perfect conference slate. But Wisconsin handed them their lone league loss. So watch for revenge motivation or upsets there. At the same time, Nebraska continues its breakout story, and Michigan State thrives under Tom Izzo in March scenarios. Illinois, Purdue, and others add depth.

Big 12 action looks wide open, with Arizona as the top seed. Following closely are Houston, then Kansas, and Iowa State, perennial contenders who own much of the tourney history. Iowa State brings upset potential, and teams like TCU and BYU lurk as sleepers.

SEC tournament sees Florida riding momentum as a projected No. 1. Still, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Georgia form a loaded field where any can win it on a hot streak. Bubble hopefuls like Auburn, Missouri, and Oklahoma need strong showings to survive.
