NCAA Basketball Betting on Michigan State at Indiana

December 1, 2010 NCAA Basketball

NCAA basketball betting has Indiana hosting Michigan State on Tuesday in a game that can be seen on ESPN.

The Spartans went through a mini-slump when Kalin Lucas was hurt but they righted the ship on Saturday to beat Penn State as Lucas had 24 points. They will try and continue their recovery in college basketball betting at Indiana on Tuesday.

NCAA basketball betting has Michigan State as a Final Four contender with Lucas in the lineup and an average team without him.  Lucas was excellent on Saturday as Michigan State beat Penn State 65-54. He had 24 points in his return to the starting lineup. "It’s hard to play well against good teams without your quarterback, and our quarterback might have played his best game of the year," head coach Tom Izzo said, "As far as Kalin goes, he was under control."  Lucas said he was just about 80% but that was good enough for Michigan State to win. "I was fine in the first half and I just kept trying to move it around," Lucas said, "The second half I was good, too."

Indiana was routed in NCAA basketball betting on Saturday as Wisconsin won 83-55.  They will a much better effort on Tuesday to have a chance to win.  The Spartans took both matchups between the squads a season ago.  Michigan State is still in good shape in the Big 10 but they are no longer a lock to win the conference after their recent losing streak.

Michigan State covered the college basketball betting odds against Penn State but overall the Spartans have struggled.  And for some reason they have really struggled on Tuesday’s. They are 5-20-2 in college basketball betting in their last 27 Tuesday games.  Overall, the Spartans are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games. The Spartans are 0-5 in NCAA basketball betting in the last 5 meetings at Indiana.

Indiana has been pretty good at home as they are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games. In this series between Michigan State and Indiana, the home team is a sparkling 15-2 in NCAA basketball betting in the last 17 meetings.

Five of the last six Michigan State road games have gone under the NCAA basketball betting total. 17 of their last 24 games vs. Big 10 teams have gone under.  Indiana has been more of a team that goes over the NCAA basketball betting total. Four of their last five games overall have gone over the total. In this series, seven of the last eleven meetings have gone over in college basketball betting.
