2007-2008 Murray State Racers College Basketball Betting Odds

December 1, 2010 NCAA Basketball

College basketball betting odds on Murray State should be lower than they were a year ago when the Racers had a rare poor season.

Basketball betting experts believe that Murray State will be much improved in 2007-2008. College basketball betting odds will show that Murray State is more experienced than a year ago.  Bruce Carter and Ray George are the two returning seniors.  Junior Tyler Holloway returns along with junior Kevin Thomas, who the Racers expect to be fully recovered from knee problems that caused him to miss all but four games last season.

Sophomores Danero Thomas, Marvin Williams, Tony Easley and Georges Fotso also return.  College basketball betting odds experts see that Murray State has some good newcomers including Ivan Evans who is a JC transfer.  Tarod Sanders joins the Racers after his team at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College went 33-5 last year.  The Racers added a pair of talented freshmen to the program in Jewuan Long and Matt Fraliex according to college basketball betting odds stats.  Fraliex was one of the most prolific high school players in Kentucky prep history, averaging 32.3 points per game as a senior and scoring 2,941 points at Caldwell County according to college basketball betting odds stats.

The season would seem to hinge on the ability of Carter and Holloway to continue as consistent scorers.  Carter led the team with 12.1 points per game and a second-best 5.4 rebounds per game according to college basketball betting odds experts.  Holloway scored 10.6 points per game according to basketball betting experts.  Freshmen Jewuan Long and Matt Fraliex should get some playing time according to basketball betting experts.  Isacc Miles will sit out this season after turning in an outstanding freshman season at Creighton.  Miles was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team according to college basketball betting odds experts.  The forward position is held down by sophomore Marvin Williams and junior Ivan Evans according to college basketball betting odds experts.  Williams appeared in 24 games last season scoring 5.2 points per game according to basketball betting stats.  Murray State has three who can play the five position according to college basketball betting odds experts.  Tony Easley and Georges Fotso were the Racers options there a season ago, and are joined by newcomer Tarod Sanders according to college basketball betting odds experts.

Murray State should be able to compete for a good spot in the OVC this season according to college basketball betting odds experts.  Austin Peay is the favorite along with Eastern Kentucky but Murray should be able to stay with teams like SE Missouri and Tennessee Tech near the top of the conference as experts that look at college basketball betting odds see it.
