2007-2008 Mississippi State Bulldogs NCAA Basketball Lines

NCAA basketball line experts look at Mississippi State and expect a tournament team. Whether that happens or not is another story. G/F Jamont Gordon is one the best players in the conference and impacts the NCAA basketball lines on a regular basis.  He should lead the Bulldogs in scoring this season. NCAA basketball lines experts know that the team lost the Delk brother but that the Bulldogs have a lot of returning talent.  Coach Rick Stansbury has a lot of options on the roster.  Brian Johnson, a transfer from Louisville, played well last season and should continue to impact the NCAA basketball lines.  Elgin Bailey will add some depth up front while Kodi Augustus and Ravern Johnson will look for playing time.  Johnson is a two-time Mississippi State Bulldogs Player of the Year according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  Point guard Riley Benock and redshirt freshman Phil Turner will add depth according to NCAA basketball lines experts.

Jamont Gordon led the team with 16 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game last year according to NCAA basketball lines stats.  With Gordon in the backcourt are sophomores Barry Stewart and Ben Hansbrough.  Stewart had a nice freshman season in which he averaged 9.8 points per game according to NCAA basketball lines stats.  Ben Hansbrough, the younger brother of North Carolina’s Tyler Hansbrough averaged 7.3 points and 3.2 assists per game according to NCAA basketball lines stats.

The frontcourt is led by Charles Rhodes who is a decent scorer according to NCAA basketball lines experts.  Jarvis Varnado is another player that could provide depth.  NCAA basketball lines experts see a starting lineup of Jamont Gordon and Barry Stewart at the guards.  NCAA basketball line experts see Ben Hansbrough as the third guard.  Basketball lines experts see Charles Rhodes and Brian Johnson upfront.

Mississippi State Bulldogs may be a difficult team to figure out in 2007-2008 in terms of basketball lines.  The Bulldogs have enough talent to compete versus basketball lines but they may be very inconsistent.  Taking them versus the basketball lines at home could be the way to go this season.
