Michigan State vs. Michigan NCAA basketball betting

NCAA basketball betting has Michigan State favored on the road at Michigan on Tuesday in a Big 10 rivalry game that can be seen on ESPN television. The Spartans are in the Top 10 in the country and considered a Final Four contender while the Wolverines have been a college basketball betting disappointment so far this season.

NCAA basketball betting on Michigan could start to pick up because guard Manny Harris has been reinstated.  “It is our hope that Manny will show tremendous growth from his suspension,” Michigan head coach John Beilein said, “We look forward to moving on and to having a great practice today.” Harris was suspended on Friday and missed Saturday’s game at Purdue which Michigan lost 69-59.  Even though the Wolverines lost at Purdue they did cover the college basketball betting odds.  The team played pretty well without Harris even though they didn’t win. “The first 10 minutes, they realized that they can be a good team and play with a lot of people, and the last 10 minutes,” Beilein said, but I was proud of the way our team reacted overall. They should be proud of themselves.”

Harris leads the Big 10 in scoring at 19.2 points per game so there is no question he is a key player for Michigan.  Considering the Wolverines have lost eight of the last ten in this series against Michigan State, they badly need Harris to play.  Michigan State is 6-4 against the NCAA basketball betting odds in those games. Last year, the Spartans won 54-42 at Michigan in college basketball betting.  Three years ago the Wolverines did get a home win as they defeated Michigan State by a score of 67-56.

Michigan State has been solid recently in Big 10 games as they are 5-2 ATS in their last 7. The Spartans have played well on the road as they are 13-6-1 in NCAA basketball betting in their last 20 road games. Michigan may not have done well in this series but they are 4-0 vs. the NCAA basketball betting odds in their last 4 games overall and they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Big Ten.

Five of the last six Michigan State games overall have gone under the NCAA basketball betting total. Four of their last five on the road have gone under. The last six Michigan games have all gone under in college basketball betting. Five of their last seven home games have stayed under the NCAA basketball betting total.
