March Madness Wagering: Indiana Hoosiers vs. Kentucky Wildcats

March 23, 2012 NCAA Basketball

The Kentucky Wildcats have been on top of the NCAA for much of the season. The Wildcats are the top seed in not only the South region of the NCAA Tournament but also for the entire tournament in general. The Wildcats will be taking on the Indiana Hoosiers in the Sweet Sixteen this Friday night. The game will be on CBS and will be played in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome.

This is actually the second time that the teams have played each other this year. Kentucky lost to Indiana 73-72 in Bloomington on December 10. The game was punctuated by a last-second game-winning three point basket by Indiana’s Christian Watford. Watford, a junior forward, had 20 points that game while Kentucky’s Doron Lamb had 19.

The Kentucky Wildcats rebounded from that loss and went on to a 34-2 record. They went 16-0 in the SEC and lost to Vanderbilt in the conference tournament championship. The Wildcats beat Western Kentucky and Iowa State in the first rounds of the tournament. Start your March Madness Gambling action for the Indiana  Hoosiers vs. Kentucky Wildcats game.

Anthony Davis is the leader of the Wildcats. The freshman forward from Chicago has 14.3 points and 10 rebounds per game this year. The team will be looking to win now because most experts have him leaving for the NBA this offseason. He is projected by many to be draft first overall by the Charlotte Bobcats. Another freshman, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, is also slated to be a lottery pick in the NBA. He has 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

The Indiana Hoosiers were fifth in the Big Ten this year but scored wins over not only Kentucky but also Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and North Carolina State this year. The Hoosiers have beaten New Mexico State and Virginia Commonwealth so far in the tournament.

Cody Zeller leads the Hoosiers with 15.5 points per game. Zeller, a freshman forward, is the brother of North Carolina’s Tyler Zeller. Christian Watford is still productive as well. The junior forward has scored in double digits in the past seven games. Check the March Madness Lines for Indiana Hoosiers vs. Kentucky Wildcats game.
