Namely, Bill Self is one of the dirtiest coaches in college basketball. But for some reason, the college basketball media protects him while calling for the heads of Will Wade and Bruce Pearl. This week gamblers will have to give the devil his due. Self has put the Jayhawks in the Sweet 16 after being written off for dead at the end of January. Following a humiliating home loss to Kentucky, Self-orchestrated a remarkable turnaround. Kansas is playing its best ball of the season. Final Four Bruin for UCLA?
Last year the UCLA Bruins shocked the world by making the Final Four. This year they were ranked as a second-tier favorite. But the Bruins’ 72-56 rout of Saint Mary’s is indicative of their ability to advance. In the Sweet Sixteen, UCLA will face North Carolina in an epic matchup of historic Blue Bloods. Accordingly, North Carolina blew a 25-point lead to defending national champion Baylor. But the Tar Heels showed nerves of steel in winning the overtime session!
