The Wolverines lead the all-time series against the Ducks 4-0. Michigan defeated Oregon 81-71 in 1955-56, 93-85 in 1971-72, and 78-53 in 2003-04. NCAA tournament Midwest regional semifinal: Purdue vs. Kansas
The Jayhawks are 3-1 against the Boilermakers in their individual series. Kansas beat Purdue 60-52 in 1949-50, 75-61 in 1996-97, and 63-60 in 2011-12. The B-Makers got their sole win so far in 1993-94, an 83-78 victory.
NCAA tournament West regional semifinal: West Virginia vs. Gonzaga
The Bulldogs and the Mountaineers will be facing off for the fourth time in history; the Zags have prevailed in the previous three occasions. Gonzaga defeated WVU 77-54 in 2011-12, 84-50 in 2012-13, and 80-76 in 2013-14.
NCAA tournament West regional semifinal: Xavier vs. Arizona
This will mark the second time that these two schools will meet in the NCAA tourney Sweet 16. In 2015, the Wildcats eliminated the Musketeers 68-60 in the West regional semifinals. According to March madness odds, the rematch should go in favour of Arizona once again, though Xavier has been sort of march madness betting upset-happy in their last two games.
NCAA tournament South regional semifinal: Butler vs. North Carolina
The Bulldogs Butler have a 3-2 lead in the all-time series against the Tar Heels. Butler won 74-66 in the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis, and 82-71 in the 2012 Maui Invitational – both on neutral courts. Butler and UNC first did battle on January 1, 1929 in Indianapolis where the Bulldogs won 43-20. They then played a home-and-home series in 1992-93 and 1993-94, both of which North Carolina won). Butler head coach Chris Holtmann is 1-1 versus the Heels, including a loss when Holtmann was in charge of the Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs. March madness odds say UNC will even the series this Friday.
NCAA tournament South regional semifinal: UCLA vs. Kentucky
The Bruins and the Wildcats have had a storied rivalry in which the latter have taken the lion’s share of the wins. Kentucky has won seven of the 13 previous matchups, and in college basketball it’s all about what have you done for me lately? And in their latest encounter in December, 2016 UCLA handed Universitas Kentuckiensis their first loss of the season, which saw the Wildcats end a three-week stint as the top-ranked team in the AP poll – a spot they would not regain for the rest of the season.
NCAA tournament East regional semifinal: South Carolina vs. Baylor
The Bears lead the all time series 4-2, including victories in the last three encounters with the Gamecocks. South Carolina last defeated Baylor in 2008-09.
March madness betting East regional semifinal: Wisconsin vs. Florida.
This will be the fifth meeting between these two schools; they split a couple of home-and-home series, with each team winning their home game. The Badgers won the most recent encounter, a 59-53 victory in 2013.
