March Madness odds fans

March Madness odds bettors are a fanatical bunch. But then just about everything about March Madness is fanatical, and that’s why it’s called March Madness 2008 and not March ‘Tranquility’ 2008.

And with less than two months to go before March Madness fans begin going completely mad it’s a good idea to start familiarizing yourself with some of the top teams that are likely to play a big role in the March Madness world. March Madness lines makers will certainly have their hands full this year, as they do every year and that means the possibility of some very attractive March Madness 2008 betting opportunities emerging.  Aside from several teams at the top of the NCAA basketball rankings the rest of the field seems to be wide open when it comes to March Madness sports.

So far there are just three undefeated teams left and these three teams look as though they will figure prominently in the March Madness with at least two of them likely to receive a number one seed.  The North Carolina Tar Heels are no stranger to fans of March Madness betting and a perennial fixture in the Sweet Sixteen.  This year the Tar Heels have a tremendous team and will almost assuredly be the team to beat when the March Madness lines are set, even if they no longer carry the number one ranking heading into the March Madness 2008 action.

Another team that is also currently undefeated and ranked number two in the country and sure to surface in the discussion among March Madness betting makers for the number one seed is Memphis.  This is a team led by a fantastic freshman player and that is somewhat of an unknown commodity for March Madness odds makers.  The Tigers remain undefeated but have yet to play a top team and play in a relatively weak compared with the other top March Madness odds contenders.  But as a result of that this team probably has the best chance of remaining undefeated according to March Madness betting makers and probably is the most likely to receive a number seed.

The third remaining undefeated team is no stranger to March Madness betting odds either.  Kansas, the number three ranked team in the country is as solid, deep and well-rounded team that March Madness lines fans will see in the tournament.  Playing in a tough Big 12 it’s unlikely to go undefeated, but it will be at worst a two seed when the March Madness betting odds are put to print.
