Kentucky vs. South Carolina NCAA basketball betting

NCAA basketball betting on Tuesday features the #1 team in the country as Kentucky travels to South Carolina to face the Gamecocks. Kentucky is favored in college basketball betting in this game that can be seen on ESPN. NCAA basketball betting is going to be popular on Kentucky but it should be noted that although they Wildcats are unbeaten straight up, they are just barely above .500 against the pointspread.  Kentucky has won six of the last ten in this series against South Carolina but they are just 4-6 against the college basketball betting number.  Last year at South Carolina, the Gamecocks won 77-59 in NCAA basketball betting.

South Carolina is coming off a very tough loss to Florida on Saturday but they shouldn’t be too down on Tuesday with the #1 Wildcats coming to town. “It’s just a great opportunity,” South Carolina guard Devan Downey said. “Don’t nobody expect us to win. They’re the No. 1 team in the country. We’re going into that game with absolutely nothing to lose. So I’m excited about it.” Head coach Darrin Horn believes his team will recover from Saturday’s two point loss to Florida.  “I wouldn’t think you’d have to get anybody up to get the No. 1 team in the country at home,” Horn said. “The more important thing is that as we continue to build our program, is understanding you do what you did tonight, you give yourself a chance to win.”

Kentucky has head all about Downey and his ability but they don’t seem worried. “I heard he was good, but he is just going to have to come in and show us he is the top point guard in the country if that is what people are saying,” said Kentucky’s Eric Bledsoe. NCAA basketball betting stats has Downey averaging 21.9 points per game. Kentucky has the better backcourt though with Bledsoe and John Wall.

Kentucky has played well on the road lately in NCAA basketball betting as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. Laying points though is always a concern with Kentucky in college basketball betting, especially in the SEC. Even though they blew away Arkansas in NCAA basketball betting in their last game, the Wildcats are just 5-12 in college basketball betting in their last 17 vs. the SEC. South Carolina has also struggled in the conference as they are 4-9-1 vs. the NCAA basketball betting number in their last 14 vs. the SEC.
