Kentucky at LSU NCAA Basketball Betting

December 1, 2010 NCAA Basketball

NCAA basketball betting favors Kentucky on Saturday as they travel to face LSU.

The Wildcats are ranked fourth in the country and have just one loss this season while LSU is floundering in last place in the SEC.  Kentucky is coming off a nice 85-75 win on Tuesday against Mississippi but they did not cover the spread for those making a college basketball bet.

NCAA basketball betting had John Wall playing a very good game on Tuesday against Mississippi as he had 17 points and 17 assists.  That performance came after he and head coach John Calipari cleared the air on Wall’s recent play. "It felt great to have the fun back," Wall said. DeMarcus Cousins posted his fifth straight double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds while Darnell Dodson added 14 points and Patrick Patterson had 12 points.  There were more than 20 NBA scouts and some NBA general managers on hand to watch Wall in Kentucky’s win over Mississippi and he definitely impressed everyone. "I like to make plays, get the crowd into it," Wall said. "I still have a lot of work to do. I just want to be the floor general. This is the best I’ve done running the team this year."

When Wall is playing like he did on Tuesday the Wildcats are very tough to handle. "He talked to his teammates, got everybody involved," Calipari said.  The Wildcats played well but they still made a lot of turnovers and didn’t cover the NCAA basketball betting odds. "There were some gaps, some turnovers we had, some lackadaisical plays," Calipari said.

Kentucky has won 7 of the last 10 against LSU in this college basketball bet series but they are just 5-5 against the NCAA basketball betting line.  The teams met twice last year and they split with each team winning at home. LSU won 67-58 while Kentucky won 73-70. LSU covered for those making a college basketball bet in both of those games. Kentucky has won three of the last five games at LSU and they are favored in NCAA basketball betting to do so again on Saturday.  Kentucky is 2-2 on the road this season in NCAA basketball betting.

LSU is not a good team this season and they are struggling at home and on the road in NCAA basketball betting. They simply do not have the talent to compete with Kentucky and those making a college basketball bet will definitely be looking to the Wildcats.
