Kansas at Texas College Basketball Betting

College basketball betting is featured on ESPN on Monday night as top-ranked Kansas gets a tough test against former #1 Texas. The Jayhawks have lost just once this season but Texas is now struggling, having lost four of their last six since being ranked number one.   Those that bet on college basketball will have to decide if Texas can bounce back with a big effort against the Jayhawks.

College basketball betting had Texas losing 80-71 to Oklahoma on Saturday. The Longhorns lost the game at the free throw line as they were a pathetic 10 of 27.  “I mean 10-for-27. What else can I say? I mean 10-for-27,” head coach Rick Barnes said, “I have to truly believe that there’s a junior high school team that could do better than that. You know what, I’m not so sure that there are not some other teams in lower level than that. Is it frustrating? It’s frustrating because it has been the same in every game this year that we have lost.” Avery Bradley had 21 points to lead Texas but Damion James had just 12 points and was 4 of 13 from the free throw line. “Just free throws, man. That was big,” James said. “Me personally, I work on them so much and to come out here and miss nine free throws, it’s unacceptable, being a leader of this team.”

Kansas has been solid on Monday’s going 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Monday games. They have also been good in the Big 12 for those that bet on college basketball as they are 17-7-2 ATS in their last 26 vs. the Big 12.  On the other side in college basketball betting, the Longhorns are 1-9 in college basketball betting in their last 10 games overall. Kansas is 2-4-1 this season on the road vs. the college basketball betting point spread. Texas is 4-5 this season at home for those that bet on college basketball.

Four of the last five Texas games have gone over in college basketball betting. Five of the last seven Texas home games have gone over the college basketball betting odds. In this series between Kansas and Texas, five of the last six games have gone over for those that bet on college basketball.  There should be some points scored as Texas is third in the country in points per game while the Jayhawks are fourth.
